Inspired by the architecture of Abraham-Louis Breguet’s legendary souscription watches, the Tradition 7057 stands as one of the most evocative and intellectually compelling creations of modern Breguet. Its openworked construction reveals the entire mechanical landscape: the barrel at center stage, the bridges arranged symmetrically like a mechanical theatre, and the gear train displayed with didactic clarity, a living homage to late-18th-century horology.
Housed in a finely fluted 18k pink case measuring 40 mm in diameter, the watch preserves all the classical Breguet design codes, from the straight welded lugs to the slim bezel. The off-centre black engine-turned dial, with Roman numerals and hollow Breguet hands, floats above the frosted, anthracite-treated movement, creating a striking dialogue between classical refinement and raw mechanical transparency. Inside beats the hand-wound calibre 507DR, offering a power-reserve indication on both the dial side and the reverse.
The sapphire crystal back reveals the same architectural harmony, with hand-chamfered edges, polished sinks and violet jewels punctuating the movement like stars against a dark sky.
Rarely seen in such crisp condition, the present example perfectly encapsulates the essence of Breguet: technical virtuosity, aesthetic purity and an unbroken link to the origins of modern watchmaking.
