Notes

Breitling Laederich He or they signed watches with “Detached Lever” and / or “Patent Lever” escapements in Le Locle, then in La Chaux-de-Fonds, in the middle of the 19th century; there are key-winding watches fitted with lateral equilibrated lever escapement. Breitling Laederich seems to be the grand-father or grand-uncle of Léon Breitling (1860-1914), the founder of the famous manufacture in Saint-Imier (Bernese Jura) in 1884, company who moves in 1892 to La Chaux-de-Fonds (Neuchâtel mountains).
