Notes

Jerry Seinfeld Jerry Seinfeld, star of Castle Rock Entertainment's Emmy Award-winning series "SEINFELD" on NBC-TV possesses one of the most astute and original minds in comedy today. Garnering impressive ratings, Seinfeld's unique comic sensibility became and remains a national obsession. Seinfeld's career on television has been a great success, earning him the 1992 and 1993 American Comedy Award and 1994 Golden Globe award for Best Actor in a Comedy series. He has also been nominated five times for an Emmy Award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series. His demanding production schedule has not prevented him, however, from remaining one of the busiest and most popular stand-up comedians in the country. Each hiatus,he performs for sold-out audiences across the country. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Seinfeld became fascinated at age eight by comedians on television. Through his honor-roll years at Queens College, and brief working stints as a telephone light bulb salesman and a jewelry street vendor, Seinfeld never lost sight of his dream. Even with the success of "SEINFELD", Seinfeld will always be most passionate about performing in front of a live audience. As he honed his craft with a steady slate of stand-up throughout the 80's, Seinfeld's reputation for keen observational humor spread. His first TV special, Jerry's Seinfeld's Stand-Up Confidential, "aired on HBO in 1987-88. In the Spring of 1991, Jerry was the host of NBC's "Spy 7'V: How to be Famous" and Showtime 's "Aspen Comedy Festival". Since the "SEINFELD" finale, watched by over 77 million Americans, Seinfeld has been performing in sold-out houses in Australia, Europe, and the United States. His tour culminated at the Broadhurst Theater where his show, Jerry Seinfeld: I'm Telling You for the Last Time" was broadcast live on HBO in August, 1998. Jerry's first-ever comedy album, "I'm Telling You for the Last Time," a recording of his tour material, was released by Universal Records September 22, 1998.
