BREITLING REF. 762 PREMIER DUOGRAPH SPLIT-SECONDS STAINLESS STEEL Breitling Genève, Premier, Split-Seconds Chronograph, case No. 510897, Ref. 762. Made in the 1950s. Fine, stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch with square button split-seconds chronograph, register and tachometer scale.

Three-body, polished and brushed, lapidated lugs. Matte silver with applied pink gold arabic and dot indexes, subsidiary dials for the seconds and the 45-minute register, outer 1/5th seconds scale and tachometer graduation. Pink gold hands. Cal. 14''', rhodium plated, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance-spring, the winding-crown is for start-stop and return-to-zero functions of the split-seconds chronograph.

Dial and movement signed, case numbered. DIAM. 36 mm. THICKNESS: 14 mm. Produced from the early 1950's, Breitling started producing its split seconds chronographs. Commercialized as the Duograph it was available under the Premier and the Top Time line. Four references are known (Ref. 762, 764, 783, 784 and 791) and were available in either 36 or 38mm. This Premier reference 762 measures 36 mm.and has remained in nice original condition.
