Fine and rare, large, quater-repeating, 18K yellow gold hunting cased, keyless pocket watch with painted on enamel automaton jacks
Four-body, "bassine", polished,hinged gold cuvette. Small opalescent enamel with radial black enamel Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds, flanked by polychrome painted on enamel figures of a flower girl and minstrel below cherubs holding bells, repeating hours, quarters, and minutes on bells, sheet music and birds below, the whole on a polished gilt plate. Blue steel spade hands. Cal. 21```, matte gilt, 17 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance-spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band.
