CARRIAGE CLOCK `LES FLAMBEAUX` FOR TIFFANY & CO Ch. Hour, France, No. 16446, retailed by Tiffany & Co. Made circa 1905. Very fine, Belle Epoque gilt-brass and etched glass, 8-day going, hour and half-hour striking carriage clock with repeating.

Gilded brass, four tapering torch columns terminating in flame finials, ribbon and flower surmount, oval glazed aperture to view the escapement, hinged ribbon handle, the sides set with reverse-etched black glass panels of a flower basket suspended from a ribbon, black glass back door, the top of the case engraved ?M.L. McKee?. D. White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer minute track, flower garland decoration, black glass mask reverse-etched with foliage. Gilt fleur-de-lys hands. M. Rectangular gilt-brass plates, going barrels for both trains, lateral lever escapement on a silvered platform, 13 jewels, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator, striking and repeating on a gong. Dial signed Tiffany & Co., movement signed Ch. Hour, France. DIM. 17 x 9.2 x 8.7 cm.
