Biography

George Lenfant is relatively unknown to the watch world as he was a master goldsmith. His master stamp was first registered in 1909 and quickly became known for his genius creations for houses such as Verger Frères, Mellerio, Van Cleef, Hermes and Cartier (he was one of their master jewellers). He later also become well known for his exquisite creations of finely made link bracelets. He became president of the French Jewellery association, officer de la Legion d'honneur and was eventually awarded the Grand Prix of the President of the Republic for his work in 1980.
