Cartier, Paris, No. 7002, circa 1920. Very fine gold, tortoiseshell mounted and grey striated agate, minute repeating, eight day going carriage clock.
C. Rectangular carved agate base (chipped), body with gold frame and inset panels of under gilded red tortoise shell. Pellet pattern black enamelled gold bezel. D. Silver engine-turned with Breguet numerals. Diamond set arrow hands. M. Rectangular gilt brass, "Nocturne", with going barrel, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs by depressing the amethyst button at the top. Signed on the dial. In very good condition. Dim. 90 x 55 x 45 mm.
