M. 17"', rhodium plated, caliber 145, signed European Watch and Clock Co., "fausses côtes" decoration, 21 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance adjusted to temperatures and in two positions, flat balance spring. Signed on the dial and movement. In very good condition. Diam. 48 mm.
Notes
Presented to the public in 1903 by LeCoultre as
the thinnest watch movement in the world. At 1,38
mm., the caliber 145 remains unique to this day. It
is illustrated by Manfred Fritz in Reversa, la légende
vivante, published by Jaeger LeCoultre, Brassus
Editions 1992, pp. 144-145, as a highlight in the
history of the firm's production.
