Cartier, Paris, circa 1925. Rare and very fine silver and enamel, gem-set, quarter repeating, "Petite sonnerie", carriage clock, in original red leather fitted traveling box.

Corniche, glazed on the top and the back, with panels of turquoise blue translucent enamel over engine-turning, white enamel frame, the base chased with garlands and garnet set fleurons, the repeating button set with a moon-stone cabochon. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring, subsidiary alarm setting dial. Gold "fleurs de lys" hands. M. Eight day going double train movement with going barrels. Silvered brass platform lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring. Striking repeating and alarm on two gongs, with button on the top, "silence" and "petite sonnerie" selection lever on the base. Signed on the dial and the case. In very good condition. Dim. 13 x 9 x 8 cm.
