"Diamond Baguette" Cartier Paris, "Baguette", No. 03780/18734, entered in the Registers on April 22nd, 1927. Very fine and very rare, Art Deco, platinum and diamond-set lady's wristwatch with the original cord bracelet, diamondset slides and 18K gold, enamel and diamond-set curved deployant clasp.

C. Two-body, solid, polished, overhanging stepped central lugs each set with four baguette diamonds and two round diamonds, back winder, flat top crystal. Cord bracelet with two platinum diamond-set slides, curved deployant clasp overlaid with black enamel and set with a line of 13 round diamonds, the platinum terminals set with a further 20 round diamonds. D. Matte silver with painted Arabic numerals. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 2 1/2''', baguette, "Duoplan", signed European Watch & Clock Co., Inc., rhodium-plated, ?fausses côtes? decoration, 17 jewels, lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance with 8 adjustments, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Movement signed. Dim. 6.5 x 34 mm. Thickness 6 mm.

This watch is a particularly rare and fine example of the Cartier ?Baguette? watch. It is rarely found in platinum and so sumptuously set with diamonds. The original black enamel and diamond-set clasp has survived in very good condition.
