C. Two-body, polished and brushed, case back and bezel fixed with 8 screws, protected octagonal cabochon sapphireset winding crown, sapphire crystal. D. White with painted radial Roman numerals, secret Cartier signature on the VII, aperture for the date. Blued steel "épée" hands. M. Cal. 077, rhodiumplated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 25 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring.
