Specially commissioned in a limited series of 140 pieces in 1986 for Enzo Ferrari to commemorate his last project, the Ferrari F40 and never commercially sold. Very fine and extremely rare, large, self-winding, water-resistant 18K yellow gold wristwatch with hexagonal button chronograph, registers, tachometer, date and a stainless steel and gold Ferrari deployant clasp. Accompained by a certificate. To be sold without reserve

Frosted silver with applied yellow gold baton indexes, luminous dot markers, outer chronograph divisions, outermost inclined 5 second track, gold-ringed subsidiary dials for the seconds and 30- minute and 12-hour registers, date aperture. Luminous yellow gold ?baton? hands. M. Cal. 7750, rhodium-plated, ?oeil-de-perdrix? decoration, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring, micrometer regulator, hack mechanism. Cartier "F40" Ferrari Watch
This watch was made to commemorate Enzo Ferrari?s last project, the F40. Enzo commissioned Cartier to make 140 pieces and presented them to his friends, such as Clay Regazzoni and Rene Arnoux. A modified example was presented to the Pope. None were sold commercially.
