Cartier, Paris, No 23227/31814, Ref. 1493, 1940's. Extremely fine and rare tonneau shaped 18ct gold gentleman's wristwatch, with single button chronograph and register, with its 18ct pink gold Cartier deployant clasp.

C. massive, polished. D. mat silver with Roman numerals + auxiliary seconds and 30 minutes register dials. "Breguet" blued steel hands. M. 11"', signed European Watch & Clock Co., rhodiumed, 25 jewels, lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance adjusted to temperatures and 2 positions, Breguet balance-spring. The sapphireset winding-crown is also for start-stop and return to zero functions of the chronograph. Dial, case and movement signed. In very good condition. Dim: 27 x 27 mm.
