Travel Clock With Alarm Cartier, France, case No. 01550. Made circa 1940. Fine and rare, rectangular, silver, 8-day going travel timepiece with alarm.

C. Rectangular, reeded hinged covers opening to reveal the dial, stepped sides, recessed crown in the base with quick-set button to adjust the alarm. D. Matte silverwith painted radial Roman numerals, inner minute track, guilloche center. Gold epee hands. M. Rhodium-plated, 15 jewels, 3/4 plate, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial signed Cartier, case numbered. Dim. 9.7 x 7.7 x 2 cm.
