Cartier Diamond & Onyx Cartier, France, No. 15627 / 17234. Made circa 1920. Very fine and elegant platinum, yellow gold, diamond and onyx-set lady?s wristwatch with an 18K yellow gold and black enamel deplyant clasp.
C. Two-body, tonneau-shaped, polished, the bezel set with alternating diamonds and faceted black onyx, diamond-set lugs, black enamel and diamond-set bracelet slides, yellow gold back secured by 4 screws in the band. D. Matte silver with painted Arabic numerals, inner minute track. Blued steel Epee hands. M. 6 ½???, rhodium-plated, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial signed, case numbered. Dim. 35 x 17 mm. Thickness 6 mm.
