Rectangular, polished with applied red and black geometric motif, top winder to activate the alarm, back with 4 screws and blue cabochon-set buttons for the hand and alarm-setting, hinged handle and block feet. D. Matte silver, black Paris numerals, luminous dots, outer minute track. Luminous black Art Deco Breguet hands. M. With quartz standardization. Case and dial signed. Dim: 101 x 87 x 31 mm.

In the 1980s Cartier revived the splendor of its Art Deco creations with these desk/alarm clocks. Among those re-created were the Basculante and Tryptyque clocks. All featured typical Art Deco forms, colors, and materials.
