Notes

According to our research this example is one of only three known Cartier lamp clocks to have appeared for public auction. Possibly created as a special order, each clock, although similar in design, displays minor variations in the decoration making each one unique.
This piece combines multiple elements of the Art Deco period, such as the strict lines and Asian motifs, along with the use of gold along the borders, mother-of-pearl dials and the jade decorations, creating a superb example of Cartier's craftsmanship from the early part of the the 20th century.
