CARTIER QUARTER REPEATING MINIATURE DESK CLOCK Cartier, Paris- Londres, "Pendulette de voyage a repetition a quarts", No. 1161, the movement by Nocturne, Swiss. Made circa 1910. Very fine, silver, enamel, agate and amethyst, miniature, 8-day going, quarter repeating desk clock.

C. Rectangular silver, the base, top and pillars decorated with translucent blue enamel over sunray and wavy-line engine-turning, beaded cornices, amethyst cabochon set push piece on the top, panels of polished agate forming the front, sides and back door with moonstone cabochon knob, cast silver foliate feet. D. Convex white enamel with Arabic numerals, outer minute track. Pierced gold fl eur-de-lis hands. M. Gilt brass rectangular with going barrel, frosted and gilt platform with straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by depressing the push-piece at the top. Dial signed Cartier, movement signed Nocturne, case numbered. Dim. 86 x 55 x 46 mm.
