CARTIER UNIQUE PLATINUM CLOCHE Cartier, Paris, "Cloche", No. 1/1, case no A112949. Made by Cartier in 1996 specially for the thematic auction ?The Magical Art of Cartier?. Extremely fine, elegant and thin, unique, bell-shaped asymmetrical platinum wristwatch with 18K white gold Cartier deployant clasp. Accompanied by the Certificate of Authenticity.

C. Two-body, bell-shaped, asymmetric, polished and brushed, gold screwed bars, cabochon sapphire-set winding-crown. D. Flinqué, white gold, with painted letters spelling CARTIER PARIS in place of numerals, inner minute track. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. Cal 9P2, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, selfcompensating fl at balance spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Dim. 25 x 33 mm. Thickness 6 mm.

The dial of this watch is exclusive to this piece only and will never be reproduced in any similar watch. It is interesting to remark that for this event, two unique platinum cloche were made: ? Dial bearing ?C.A.R.T.I.E.R.P.A.R.I.S? letter indexes (instead of numerals),the present lot ? Dial featuring radial Roman numerals and no minute track.
