Rectangular with curved ends, engine-turned grains d?orge decoration, polished sides set with four cabochon sapphires, hinged cover forming the stand, polished bezel secured with 4 screws in the band, winding crown set with a faceted sapphire. D. Square cream painted with black dart hour indexes. Blued steel epee hands. M. 9???, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to temperatures and two positions, self-compensating blued steel fl at balance spring, index regulator. Dial and movement signed Cartier, case with punch mark JC for Jacques Cartier and numbered. Dim. 34 x 24 x 7 mm. Property of an Italian collector
