CARTIER MINUTE REPEATING PENDULETTE Cartier, Paris Londres, the movement by Nocturne, case No. 1474, movement No. 1856. Made circa 1910. Fine and rare, minute repeating, 8-day going, silver and enamel keyless desk clock. Accompanied by a Cartier fitted box.

Rectangular silver, the front, back and sides overlaid with translucent guilloche enamel over sunray engine-turning, within green translucent enamel line borders, back with shuttered apertures for winding, hand-setting and regulation, the repeat button set with a crystal cabochon, turned feet. White enamel, convex, Arabic numerals, outer gilt minute track. Gilt fleur-de-lys hands. 47 x 35 mm., matte gilt with going barrel straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by the button at the top of the case. Dial signed Cartier, movement signed Nocturne, case punch-numbered 1474 and scratch-numbered1856 on each component of the case, movement numbered 1856.
