CARTIER MINUTE REPEATING ART DECO PENDULETTE Cartier, the case by the European Watch & Clock Co., the movement by the Geneva Clock Co., case No. 12295, movement No. 264804. The case with London import marks for 1927-1928. Fine and rare, Art-Deco, minute repeating, 8-day going, silver-gilt, enamel, hardstone, diamond and ruby set keyless desk clock.
Rectangular silver gilt, the sides overlaid with black enamel within red enamel line borders, the front decorated to match and set with a red hardstone panel below the dial, two geometric platinum mounts above set with rose-cut diamonds and cabochon rubies, engine-turned back, turned feet. White with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions. Gilt Louis XV hands. 18''', matte gilt with large going barrel mounted above the backplate, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with three adjustments, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a button in the side of the case, centrifugal governor.
