CARTIER MINUTE REPEATING PENDULETTE Cartier, the movement by the European Watch & Clock Co., movement No. 124508. Made circa 1930. Fine and rare, minute repeating, 8-day going, silver-gilt, enamel and nephrite jade keyless desk clock.
Rectangular silver gilt, the front and sides overlaid with translucent red guilloche enamel within black enamel line borders, nephrite jade base, the bezel decorated with black enamel dots, hinged back door, winding and hand-setting crown set with a jade cabochon. Matte silver with bold radial Roman numerals, outer minute track. Blued steel hands. 18''', matte gilt with large going barrel mounted above the backplate, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance witHEIGHT adjustments, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a button in the side of the case, centrifugal governor. Dial signed Cartier, movement signed European Watch & Clock Co. Inc.
