CARTIER MINIATURE DESK CLOCK "MIGNONETTE" Cartier, Paris, No. 3990/88679. Made circa 1910. Very fine and very rare, gold on silver and enamel miniature desk clock with rose-cut diamond-set hands.

Rectangular silver body overlaid with gold entirely decorated with satine engine-turning within white champlevé enamel line borders, gold bezel with white enamel "pearls", gold beaded border at the base, shuttered winding holes, carved and polished agate base. White enamel with dauphine numerals, outer gold painted dot minute indexes. Rose-cut diamond-set arrow hands. Rectangular matte gilt brass with cylindrical pillars and going barrel, the back plate relieved for the straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator.
