CARTIER ENAMEL, SILVER, GOLD & DIAMOND DESK CLOCK Cartier, "Montre de Bureau", No. 6794/119829/4384. Made circa 1910. Very fine and rare, square silver and enamel, gold and silver-gilt, 8-day going strut desk clock with rose-cut diamond- set platinum hands.

Square, the front and sides overlaid with translucent violet guilloche enamel, white champlevé enamel line borders, yellow gold bezel decorated with a repeated leaf and flower pattern on a white champlevé enamel ground, composition back secured by 8 screws, hinged silver-gilt strut. Matte silver with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, sunray engine-turned center. Platinum rose-cut diamond-set arrow hands. 19''', matte gilt, 15 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator.
