Rolex Oyster Perpetual "Explorer", Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified, Ref. 1016, retailed by Cartier. Production of this reference started in the 1960's. Fine and very rare tonneau-shaped, center-seconds, self-win-ding, water-resistant, stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch with a stainless steel Jubilé bracelet.

C. three-body, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back and crown. D. black with tritium-coated Arabic numerals and bâ-ton and dart indexes, above the 6, the "Cartier" signature. "Skeleton" tritium-coated hands. M. Cal. 1570, rhodium-plated, 26 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to temperatures and 5 positions, shock-absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance-spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 35 mm. Approx. overall length 200 mm.
