C. Three-piece, massive, "demi-bassine", polished, the back centered with the inscription: "Kirby" over a black champlevé enameled ground, within a white frame. D. Matte silver with champlevé Arabic numerals. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 17''', rhodium-plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 29 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with Breguet balance spring, repeating on gongs through activating slide in the band.Signed on the dial. Diam. 48 mm.

An unusual Cartier watch. As a rule Cartier printed their dials straight from the die to the dial blank. In this case, the numerals and the signature were first engraved, then filled with enamel and fired.
