Notes

Lots 133, 134 and 135 typify the designs used by Cartier in the late 1920s and early 1930s. Identical clocks are illustrated by Hans Nadelhoffer in his "Cartier" book, Paris, 1984. All the major Parisian jewelers called on the Prévost workshop for the design and execution of their most magnificent desk clocks. The movements were supplied mostly by Majestic Watch Co.
