Cartier, Paris, circa 1910. Very fine and rare, thin 18K gold and enamel minute repeating dress watch.
C. Three-body, 'bassine pincée', polished. The repeater slide fitted into a milled groove in the band, the back with champlevé enamel cartouche ?KIRBY?. D. Matte silver with Arabic numerals, outer minuter track and subsidiary seconds. Blued-steel 'Breguet' hands. M. 17.5???(39 mm), rhodium plated, ?fausses-cotes? decoration, 32 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, flat balance spring, repeating on gongs through activating the slide in the band.Signed on the dial, case numbered.Diam. 48 mm.Cartier, Paris, circa 1910.Very fine and rare, thin 18K gold and enamel minute repeating dress watch.
