Cartier Paris, dated 25 July 1980. Very fine silver gilt mounted rock crystal and agate, diamond set, eight day going portico mystery clock, in the original red leather fitted box.

The entablature is supported by two silver gilt, rock crystal and agate columns with square bases, mounted on a black tiger-eye terrace. The faceted dodecagonal smoked rock crystal dial with "serpent " hands is suspended from the entablature by faceted twin short columns ended by diamond-set rings. The dial is framed by a polished silver gilt bezel with diamond-set indexes. Cartier movement concealed in the entablature, the winding holes covered by a rectangular polished silver gilt plaque set with an extra large smoked rock crystal cabochon. 19 -, gilt three quarter plate movement, "fausses cotes" decoration, 15 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, flat balance spring. Signed on the base and movement. In very good condition, accompanied by Certificate of Authenticity. Dim. 40 x 27 x 11 cm.
