Notes

The Cartier Crash is one of the most iconic and surreal designs in the Cartier family. First created in 1967 by Cartier London, its dramatically distorted, asymmetrical case was—according to lore—inspired by a watch damaged in a car accident. Embodying avant-garde creativity, it became an instant symbol of rebellious luxury.

This exceptional example belongs to the highly coveted ‘Paris’ dial series. While Cartier Paris launched a limited edition of 400 numbered pieces in yellow gold in 1991, this 18K white gold version with a factory diamond-set bezel is even rarer. Produced during the same era (circa 1995–1999), white gold and diamond-set ‘Paris’ models were typically released in extremely small as exclusive special orders for prestigious boutiques.
