Notes

Following Cartier’s historic April 2025 fundamentally restructure and of its New Special Order (NSO) commission program, the present lot stands as an unrepeatable monument of modern horological privilege: an extremely fine and piece unique manual-winding wristwatch from the final era of private customization.

While the asymmetrical Cartier Crash is universally recognized as the single most difficult model to secure via private commission, this specific example is a spectacular physical manifestation of a Cartier VIP client’s exacting personal preferences. Departing from conventional styling, the client paired the classical warmth of an 18K yellow gold case with a deeply sophisticated silvered dial featuring subtle "ghost grey" painted Roman numerals. This creates a mesmerizing, monochromatic effect where the distorted layout is completed by Cartier’s hidden signature within the "VII" and an unusual, visible placement of the "Swiss Made" signature at six o’clock.

With CEO Louis Ferla restructuring the framework and halting standard bespoke commissions, this "Ghost" Crash has instantaneously transitioned from a contemporary rarity into a historically closed artifact. As one of the absolute last-era bespoke creations executed under the original client-driven format, this piece unique offers the collectors a fleeting, unrepeatable collecting opportunity.

It is accompanied by original fitted box, Certificate of Origin, warranty card, loupe, instruction booklet.
