Not to be confused with the later re-edition, this particular example was inscribed in the Cartier Paris archives as sold in 1964. While the earlier examples sold to France were inscribed Cartier Paris (Bté SGDG - sans garantie du gouvernement), the later example such as this one were inscribed Cartier France and are rarely found on the market and its provenance is further enhanced by the multiple French platinum stamps and its original Edmond Jaeger deployant clasp.
