A very rare and fine, gilt brass manual winding 8-day desk clock with a mother-of-pearl dial featuring a jasper center, an inner bezel set with diamonds and emeralds, gilt brass and diamond-set hands, and an outer bezel set with brilliant-cut diamonds, the whole held between a gilt brass, mother-of-pearl and jasper arch decorated with diamonds, onyx and a large cabochon emerald on the top, above a roaring lion with emerald-set eyes centered on a large gilt brass rectangular pedestal decorated with jasper, mother-of-pearl, diamond, onyx and a large cabochon emerald, on shaped feet.
