18Kwhite gold, water-resistant to 50 m, self-winding gentleman's wristwatch with date, round button chronograph, registers and tachometer and a rubber strap with the famous Dunlop racing tire design of the sixties with 18K white gold buckle. The case is polished, has a stepped bezel and straight lugs. It has a screw back and a sapphire crystal. The dial is black with tritium radial Arabic numerals and auxiliary dials for the 30 minutes and 12 hours registers, outer tachometer graduation, aperture for the date. yii Mechanical movement with automatic winding This watch was produced in a limited edition and the seconds hand bears , the famous red arrow race emblem, as well as the 1988-1998 commemorative inscription. Michael Douglas An actor with over twenty years of experience in theater, film, and television, Michael Douglas branched out into independent feature production in 1975 with the Academy Award-winning "One Flew Over the Cuckoo ' s Nest". Since then, as an actorproducer, he has shown an uncanny knack for choosing projects that reflect changing trends and public concerns. Over the past twelve years, he has been involved in such controversial and politically influential motion pictures as "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest", and "The China Syndrome" and such popular films as "Fatal Attraction" and "Romancing the Stone " . Born in New Jersey to parents Kirk and Diana, Douglas grew up spending summers with his father on movie sets. Douglas' first big break occurred when he was cast in the pivotal role of the freespirited scientist in the CBS Playhouse Production of "The Experiment". This convincing portrayal cast him the lead role in "I-Iail, Hero " , the initial project of CBS ' s newly organized theatrical film production company, Cinema Center Films. In between film assignments, Douglas worked in summer stock and off Broadway productions, among them "City Scenes " , "Love is a Time of Day", and "Pinkville". He also appeared on the made-for-television thriller "When Michael Calls", and in episodes of the popular series "FBI". His role in "FBI" allowed him to go on to perform in "The Streets of San Francisco " for which Douglas earned three successive Emmy Award nominations in the 1970's. In between acting, Douglas aspired to produce a film version of the novel "One Flew Over the Cuckoo ' s Nest". After purchasing the movie rights from his father, Douglas formed a partnership with Saul Zaentz, a record industry executive. The film won Five Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actor and Best Actress and earned more than $180 million at the box office. Following this, Douglas found himself in demand as a producer. Along with his success as a producer, Douglas resumed his acting career in the late 70's. Some of his more popular film credits include "Coma", "It ' s My Turn", "The Star Chamber", "Romancing the Stone " , "Fatal Attraction", "Wall Street", and "Falling Down " . In more recent years, through various companies which he has formed, Douglas has produced such box office hits as "Flatliners ", "Made in America", John Grisham's "The Rainmaker", "Face/Off ', and "A Perfect Murder". In July of 1998, Douglas was named a Messenger of Peace for the United Nations by Secretar y General Kati Annan. Douglas' two areas of 0 concentration are nuclear abolition and small arms proliferation. 0 Douglas resides in New York and has one son, Cameron.
