STRAIGHT-LINE LEVER ESCAPEMENT WORKING MODEL WITH HELICAL BALANCE SPRING Chronoswiss, "Kolbenzahnankerhemmung" Demonstrative Escapement, No. 41. Made by Thomas Schnelle for Chronoswiss in 1991. Fine, working model of a straight-line lever escapement with helical balance spring, mahogany base and glass shade.

Polished mahogany base with winder, gilt toupie feet, glass shade. Circular brushed gilt base plate, going barrel housed in the base, straight-line lever with jewelled pallets, cut bimetallic balance wheel with gilt temperature and meantime adjustment screws, blued steel helical balance spring, engine-turned bridges secured by blued steel screws.
