"The Mermaid" Corum, Automatic,"Admiral's Cup Tide Watch", No. 78/100, Ref. 277.828.56. Produced in a limited edition of 100 examples in the 1990s. Fine and unusual, dodecagonal, astronomic, center-seconds, self-winding, water-resistant, 18K yellow gold gentleman's wristwatch with 42-hour power reserve, tide movement indication, date, moon phases and a yellow gold Corum deployant clasp.
C. Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, transparent case back with 6 screws, yellow gold bezel with polychrome nautical flags and graduation, screwed-down winding-crown, fluted lugs, sapphire crystals. D. White with applied tritium-coated gold indexes, apertures for the low and high tide indication and the tide strength, the date and the moon phases,"Cyclops" aperture for the date. Tritium-coated yellow gold "bâton" hands. M. Cal. 2892, rhodium plated, 21 jewels, straight line lever escapemnt, monometallic balance, shock-absorber, self-compensating flat balance-spring, gold rotor with multi-colored enamel inlay portraying a mermaid.Dial, case and movement signed.Diam. 40 mm.
