LINER NOTES I'd been hanging around a lot with Lou Reed and we became great friends often meeting for breakfast, dinner, looking at guitar shops. I would go to his apartment and he would come see me in the studio while I was making my album Greetings from the Gutter, which Damien Hurst did the artwork for. Lou and Laurie Anderson had not long met and sometimes dinner would just be me, Laurie, and Lou and it was an amazing experience watching them fall in love with each other's minds. This is a candid shot from the other side of the dinner table. We were so comfortable with each other that this photo captures the magic between us.-Dave Stewart
