DENT MINUTE-REPEATING CHRONOGRAPH GOLD Dent, Watchmaker to the Queen, 33 Cocksupr Street, London, No. 31327. Made circa 1900. Very fine half-hunter 18K gold and enamel keyless minute-repeating watch with chronograph and 60-minute register.

Four-body, solid, "demi-bassine", half-hunter with blue guilloche enamel and white arabic numerals, gold hinged cuvette, band with milled slot for the slide. Off-white, radial Roman numerals, outer minute ring, outermost chronograph scale, subsidiary sunk seconds, sunk 60-minute register at 12 o'clock. Blued steel "spade" hands. 44 mm. (19 1/2'''), three quarter plate, frosted gilt, 24 jewels, lateral lever escapement with lift on the pallets, cut bimetallic compensation balance with Breguet double overcoiled balance spring, hand engraved cock with diamond endstone, repeating on gongs, slide on the band.
