Very fine and rare 8-day going Art Deco mantel-clock, Westminster or Whittington double carillon hour and quarter striking; gilded metal, woods
Gilded metal and marquetry of various woods, key-winding, horizontal corrugated-shape, 8-day going Art Deco mantel-clock, with hour and quarter striking by Westminster or Whittington carillon chimes; the two melodies played by eight hammers on eight vertical gongs; position lever of “C” (Chime) and “S” (Silence), on the right side of the dial (after opening the front bevelled glass door).
Cabinet of oblong and undulating shape, made of different wood species in marquetry; the top entirely glazed with a large bevelled glass that follows the corrugated shape of the cabinet.

Silvered metallic dial, with radial Roman numerals; blued steel “Spade” hands
