After the initial development of the Beta 1 and Beta 2 movements, the CEH released the new Beta 21 caliber. In order to properly commercialise this new project, a core group was created made up of 2 organisers (CEH and ESA), 3 suppliers (FAR, FBR and FSR) and 15 manufacturers (among them Bulova, Piaget, IWC, LeCoultre, Longines, Rolex, Omega, Patek Philippe). This led to the creation of 6000 Beta 21 calibers distributed among the various brands. Ebauches SA was delivered exactly 210 pieces only and it is the first of its kind to appear at auction, showing how few actually survived.
