Notes

Edox, “Geoscoope”

Launched in 1970-1971, the Edox “Geoscoope” was designed to provide local time, GMT and the time of any place in the world at a glance, as well as the position of the sun. It was produced in the Bienne / Biel workshops of the company.

The watch was marketed in both right-handed and left-handed versions. The models were produced in two distinct sizes:
· 42 mm. (under Ref. 200170);
· 48 mm. (under Ref. 200171), which appears to be the rarer of the two.

It seems that only three pieces were made with 18K gold cases, as gifts to dignitaries by the Shah of Iran; these pieces were probably never given away.
