Notes
Franck Muller.
Passion, precision and innovation are the three essential qualities
that highlight the creative genius of Franck Muller. For over ten
years, the history of his watches has been marked by innumerable
masterpieces and collections giving a contemporary style and
spirit within the legendary universe of the Art of Watchmaking.
The important dates in Franck Muller?s watchmaking career
include: 1983, the date in which he created the first watch signed
"Franck Genève; 1992", which represents the founding of the
company, the opening of the first Franck Muller store in the world
and the invention of the most complicated wristwatch ever made in
horological history; 1995 symbolizing the inauguration of the new
Franck Muller administrative and production headquarters in
Genthod, near Geneva, Switzerland.
Furthermore, Franck Muller leaps into the third millennium with
the creation of Watchland, a new architectural universe honoring
the watchmaking art and savoir-faire, which opened to the public
in the year 2000. Franck Muller is one of the only prestigious
manufactures whose creator signs each single model in his lifetime.
This is what makes this brand so exclusive and enhances the
uniqueness of each collection.
The creation of the most complicated watch in the world in 1992?
enriched by new functions in 1998 and hailed again as a world
record?brought worldwide attention to the event and confirmed
the international prestige of the company. Each year since a new
and unique timepiece is launched?a world first again and again.
Its complications so successfully combined set the horological
world ablaze with delight. The forms, richer every year, continually
reconfirm the creator?s unique style, immediately and undeniably
recognizable.
Such new creations today are ?Casablanca?, ?Havana?, ?Master
Banker? or ?Conquistador?, to only name a few, each a faithful
retranscription of the original and creative talent of Franck
Muller. Franck Muller?s masterpieces, veritable collectors
timepieces, are today exhibited in the most prestigious
cities of the world, from Europe to Asia as well as
America, the Middle-East and Australia
Parmigiani Fleurier
Is situated in Fleurier in the Neuchâtel region of the Swiss Jura Mountains. It is there that the
Master Watchmaker Michel Parmigiani has celebrated the art of time for over two decades.
After receiving his diploma at the Ecole d?Horlogerie, he worked for a period at Antiquorum,
then called the "Galerie d?Horlogerie Ancienne". In the Parmigiani workshop, he has
gathered many of the best craftsmen in the world of horology, who bring together
the skills of the goldsmith and the watchmaker. Their dexterity, finesse and
artistry combine to enhance the firm?s reputation as a concentration of
many fine talents. Nothing leaves the Parmigiani workshops unless it
meets stringent demands for perfection at every stage
of its production. The Parmigiani Fleurier Company,
established in 1996 with the backing of
the Sandoz Family Foundation, possesses
several technical workshops: the restoration
of antique clocks and watches, the
manufacturing of Haute Horlogerie
timepieces as well as the Parmigiani
Fleurier Collection and a highly
qualified After Sales Service. Another
branch is Vaucher Manufacture
Fleurier, a company now
specializing in the high quality
production of new escapements,
balances and balancesprings
for the Parmigiani
brand and for a
few other selected
high-end watch companies.
