FRERES ROCHAT MADE FOR THE CHINESE MARKET YELLOW GOLD AND ENAMEL Freres Rochat, Genève, case No. 1742. Made circa 1870. Very fine and rare, 18K yellow gold key-wound pocket watch with blue enamel. Accompanied by a gold winding key.

Four-body, solid, bassine, hinged bezel, back and cuvette, bezel decorated with engraved floral pattern, back decorated with blue painted on enamel chinese garden scene. Silver, painted roman indexes, outer minute track. Gold Breguet hands. Gilt, lever escapement, monometallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Case numbered and signed.
