O. FRESARD PERPETUAL CALENDAR MINUTE-REPEATER SPLIT-SECOND CHRONOGRAPH WITH 60-MINUTE COUNTER GOLD Oscar Fresard, Lucerne/Genève, No. 6941. Made circa 1920. Very fine, rare, and important 18K gold, keyless, astronomical, moonphase, perpetual calendar, minute-repeating split-seconds chronograph pocket watch with 60-minute register.

Four-body, Solid, "bassine et filets", gold hinged cuvette. White enamel, radial arabic numerals, outer minute/seconds divisions with black Arabic five-minute/seconds markers, four subsidiary dials for days of the week, date, months, concentric with four-year leap cycle and 60 minute-counter, aperture for moonphase with constant seconds. Gold "spade" hands. 40 mm. rhodium plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 37 jewels, straight line calibrated lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance-spring, chronograph through the crown and split mechanism set on the back plate, repeating on gongs through activating slide in the band.
