In 1835, Jean-Pierre Gay and Gaspard Tissot founded Gay Frères. From the beginning, they have produced jewelry and chains for pocket watches but with the expansion of wristwatches at the beginning of the 20th century, they had to reorient their output. Now manufacturers of bracelets, they acquire Rolex as new client. Subsequently, all the major Swiss watchmaking brands such as Audemars Piguet, Vacheron Constantin, Patek Philippe and many others, have called upon Gay Frères to produce exceptional bracelets recognizable by their famous signature "GF”.
