C. Three-tier wooden box, the middle section with applied plaque, the lower section with flush handles in the sides, gimballed weighted steel bowl, screw-down bezel. D. Matte black with white painted Arabic numerals, outer minute track with luminous five-minute indexes, subsidiary seconds and power-reserve. Luminous steel epee hands, red seconds and power-reserve hands. M. Gilt with striped decoration, cylindrical pillars secured by screws, separate bridge for the spring barrel, applied plaque inscribed ?JH No.5?, fusee and chain with Harrison?s maintaining power, Earnshaw?s spring footed-detent escapement with jewelled locking stone, jeweled to the center, free-sprung Guillaume integral balance with four cylindrical weights, helical balance spring. Dial, case and movement signed. DIM. 19 cm square.
