GIRARD-PERREGAUX SCUDERIA FERRARI SPLIT-SECOND CHRONO YELLOW GOLD Girard-Perregaux, "Scuderia Ferrari - Chronograph Rattrapante Foudroyante," No. 122/250, Ref. 9020. Made circa 2002. This watch is part of a limited edition of 250 pieces which started in 1999, to commemorate the 70 years "Scuderia Ferrari" (1929-1999). Very fine and rare, self-winding, water-resistant, 18K yellow gold wristwatch with 1/8 seconds round-button split-seconds "foudroyante" chronograph, registers, tachometer. Accompanied by the original fitted box.
Three-body, solid, brushed and polished, concave lugs, case back with 7 screws, engraved with "Scuderia Ferrari" dedication, winding crown with co-axial button to activate the split-seconds function, domed sapphire crystal. Silver with applied yellow gold Arabic numerals and dart indexes, subsidiary dials for the flying seconds and 30-minute register, outer tachometer graduation, outermost 1/5th seconds track with 5-seconds red Arabic markers. Luminous yellow gold feuille hands. Cal. GP E04C0, rhodium plated, fausses cotes decoration, 40 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring, hack mechanism.
