MEISSEN PORCELAIN The production of porcelain at Meissen, near Dresden, began in 1710 and led to the establishment of one of the world's most famous porcelain manufacturers, the Staatliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Meissen GmbH, whose logo is the two crossed swords. The cooperation between Glashütte Original and the Meissen porcelain factory brings together two of Germany's most renowned companies. The exquisite design of the dial of the present watch is inspired by the famous 18th century Meissen porcelain of Johann Gregorius Heroldt.
